Snow Runoff: West Bountiful has an effective canal system through the city that carries snow runoff. We are not expecting significant flooding this year but will make sandbags available beginning March 27, at the public works parking lot next to city hall for residents to fill, if desired.

Notice of Election – 2023

The City of West Bountiful will hold a Municipal Election on November 7, 2023 to fill three (3) city council seats. Terms will run for four (4) years each – January 2024 through December 2027.  A Primary Election, if necessary, will be held on August 15, 2023.

The candidate filing period will be 8am to 5pm, Thursday, June 1st, Friday, June 2nd, Monday, June 5th, Tuesday, June 6th, and Wednesday, June 7.

Candidates must file a Declaration of Candidacy form in person with the City Recorder at the city offices, 550 N 800 West, West Bountiful, Utah, and meet the following qualifications:

  1. Be a resident of West Bountiful City for at least 365 consecutive days immediately preceding the date of the election;
  2. Be a registered voter of the city (U.S. Citizen and 18 years old on or before the general election); and
  3. Not be a convicted felon, unless the right to hold elective office has been restored.
